Tröma Nagmo is the Tibetan name for the goddess Krodhikali, one of the three primordial wisdom dakinis of the universe. Tröma Nagmo is known for realizing awakening and generating vast merit in a swift and quick fashion. The text relating to this deity was revealed as a rare, compassion teaching from Guru Rinpoche to his main consort, Yeshe Tsogyal. It was later revealed as a treasure teaching and is often seen in the practice of Chod.
This thangkha depicts the three kaya dakinis depicted in the Tröma Nagmo cycle. The Dharmakaya is represented by Samantabhadri, Sambhogakaya represented by Vajravarahi, and Nirmanakaya represented by Tröma.
This thangka is sourced directly from artists in Nepal. It is framed in traditional Tibetan silk brocade and includes a curtain to keep it protected when not displayed.
