$45.00
Regular price $45.00

Sterling silver mala counters from Bhutan. A pair of counters is used to keep track of mantra recitations. When all ten beads have been moved, marking 1,000 accumulations, move one bead on the second counter strand.

“The vajra and bell are the two main ritual implements that symbolise the perfections of method or skilful means (vajra), and wisdom or emptiness (ghanta). When paired, the vajra is held in the right hand, and the bell in the left, representing the inseparable union of method and wisdom.”
The Encyclopedia of Tibetan Symbols and Motifs, p. 243
