These sandalwood granules (Jpn. byakudan) are produced by Shoyeido, one of Japan's most respected incense houses. Founded in Kyoto in 1705 and family-run for over three centuries, Shoyeido works exclusively with natural ingredients and produces incense free from synthetic additives. The granules may be burned on charcoal or a mica plate to release the wood's clean, subtly sweet fragrance.
