The Great Guru Padmasambhava, in search of a doctrine that could be easily explained and immediately beneficial, traveled to the unsurpassed celestial realm of Dorje Chang. Here the Adibuddha Vajrasattva revealed to the Great Guru all sound as mantra, and all manifestations of body, speech, and mind as enchantment. With the accomplishment of learning the Tantras of the Mahayoga, he became known as Urgyen Dorje Chang, the Master from Oddiyana Who Holds the Vajra.
