Dorje Drolod is one of the eight main manifestations of Guru Rinpoche. In his wrathful form, he is riding a pregnant tigress. Guru Rinpoche assumed this manifestation in Paro Taktsang, Bhutan in order to bring the local deities and guardians under his control.

This thangka is sourced directly from artists in Nepal. It is framed in traditional Tibetan silk brocade and includes a curtain to keep it protected when not displayed.
