Driguk - 7"

$28.00
Regular price $28.00

This ritual curved knife (driguk, or trigug) is a traditional implement used in Tibetan Buddhist practice, symbolizing the cutting through of attachment, ego, and obscurations. Its hooked blade represents the swift and skillful severing of grasping, revealing the innate clarity of mind.

In Chöd practice, and especially in Tröma Nagmo (Troma) practice, the driguk is used during tsok offering to symbolically prepare and transform the feast substances. It represents the practitioner’s willingness to cut through self-clinging and offer the body as a feast, transforming ordinary perception into wisdom and compassion.

The handle is topped with a vajra, symbolizing indestructible awareness, while the dynamic shape of the blade reflects the fierce, compassionate activity of the dakinis. Together, these elements embody the union of wisdom and method within Vajrayana practice.
