*NOW contains 5 yards of butterlamp wick, cotton with zinc core. We use this traditionally for our own butterlamps.

Instructions: 

Cut the wick to a length that is slightly longer than the butterlamp's depth. Fold the bottom 1/2 inch so that it fits snugly into the hole at the base of the lamp. Fill the butterlamp with oil (such as canola, olive or coconut), making sure to get some of the oil on the wick itself. Will last 3-6 hours depending on the type of oil used.
