The dharma wheel symbolizes the wheel of transformation, or spiritual change. It also symbolizes the first turning of the wheel of the dharma, by the Buddha Shakyamuni, at Deer Park in Saranath where he taught the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Noble Path.

Flavio Crestana, a sangha member of Chagdud Gonpa Khadro Ling, began his career as a jeweler at home in Brazil in the mid-1980s, influenced by his mother, a well-known artist and jewelry teacher.
