Authentic Bhutanese Damaru

This authentic skull (thöpa) damaru has been prepared according to well-established Nyingma traditions, and is played in a wide range of Vajrayana rituals. Used together as a standard accompaniment with the bell during tantric practices, the damaru adds an accent or punctuation to the verses as well as keeping time throughout certain passages. For the solo practitioner it is an essential tool, and in larger assemblies it is often heard in concert with the long horns (radung), short horns (jalung), large cymbols (silnyne and rolmo) and large temple drums (nga). Imported from Bhutan, made with the highest, it is adorned with silver metal, and inlaid with turquoise and coral. Comes with a beautiful brocade tail and case.
