The practice of White Tara is associated with long-life, peace and prosperity. She has seven eyes and holds a long-life vase in her right hand and a blooming lotus in her left. The three eyes on her face symbolize her ability to see the unity of ultimate reality and simultaneously see the relative and dualistic worlds. The eyes on her hands and feet represent her ultimate wisdom and compassion. This thangka was painted by artists in Nepal and framed in traditional brocades.
